The history and experiences of Alberta’s Punjabi Pioneers

Speaker: Shreela Chakrabartty, Film Director

Film director Shreela Chakrabartty will provide an examination of the migrant experience from a second generation Albertan perspective, looking at how the South Asian Documentation project by the Provincial Archives of Alberta triggered archival projects by groups and individuals in Edmonton, and the curiosity that is developing to know more about Asian migrant history that emerges locally from Edmonton.

Free presentation – donations accepted.
