Pre-Contact Indigenous Specializations

Dr. Linda Many Guns
Cocktails 5:30 pm; Dinner 6:00 pm

Please join us in celebrating the season with a delicious meal and fascinating lecture on Pre-Contact Indigenous Specialization by speaker, Dr. Linda Many Guns.

This presentation attests to the wide diversity of knowledge needed to live successfully as Blackfoot in these territories, before contact.  Successful brain surgery, horse training, weapons makers, crafters, hunters, traders, medicine people, spiritual people, winter-count holders (historians), women were warriors, hunters, excellent crafters, some specialized in healing and plant medicines.  People excelled in reading the world around them, and those skills will be needed in the future to help all humanity develop and become attuned with the world around them.

Registration is now closed.
