Julia Petrov & Trisha Carleton

The early history of beer in Alberta, with a quick overview of developments since deregulation. No beer will be served, however the meeting may adjourn afterwards to Whyte Avenue for sampling.

About the Speakers

Julia Petrov is Curator of Western Canadian History at the Royal Alberta Museum, where she is responsible for a wide-ranging collection of objects representing the domestic and industrial history of the province, as well as the fine and decorative arts.

Trisha Carleton has been working in museums around Alberta for the past 13 years and currently works as a Senior Curatorial Assistant in Western Canadian History at the Royal Alberta Museum. With the museum being on the move, her current specialty is making the perfect box to custom fit artifacts of any shape or size. Aside from museums, Trisha also has a passion for travel, animals (especially her horse, Citation), knitting, curling, and of course – craft beer!
