The history of our region is full of stories, both frequently told and known only by a few. At the Edmonton and District Historical Society, we strive to openly share Edmonton’s history with the public.
The EDHS Board of Directors consists of volunteers with every level of history knowledge who help guide and plan every facet of EDHS programs, publications, and events. Being an EDHS Director is an excellent way to apply personal skills, insight, and perspectives to enrich Edmonton’s heritage while contributing to our community.
This year, we are looking for new board members with an interest in grants, fundraising, advocacy, publishing, and events. We will also be recruiting a new Secretary and Vice President.
We rely on the time and passion of our volunteers to keep the EDHS running and offering programs. This valuable public resource and education cannot continue without support! Please consider lending a hand and recommending getting involved with the EDHS to your friends and family.

Our guest, Tim Isberg, author, veteran, and accomplished singer-songwriter, brings a blend of well-crafted Alt-Country, Roots and Contemporary Folk songs to the stage. By sharing a unique and endearing array of life experiences from abroad, and insights into early prairie history, Tim encourages connection with his audiences.
Tim will discuss the historical context of and perform some songs from his recent history-themed album ‘Prairie Fire’, about people and events of the Prairies in the 19th century.
