Opportunities with EDHS!

There are a number of exciting opportunities waiting for you at the Edmonton and District Historical Society right now! Firstly, we are looking to recruit new members to our Board of Directors for the 2023 AGM in April!

The EDHS board of Directors consists of volunteers who help guide and plan every facet of EDHS programs, publications, and events by organizing committees and carrying out its goals and objectives. Being a member of the EDHS Board of Directors is an excellent way to apply personal skills, insight, and perspectives towards enriching Edmonton’s heritage while also contributing towards our community. This year we are looking for new board members with interest in grants, publications, fundraising, advocacy, and events. We will also be recruiting a new Treasurer as well as someone to head the committee for our seasonal newsletter.

For anyone considering to join the EDHS Board of Directors, please email info@historicedmonton.ca

Second, we have the Historical Society of Alberta offering a wonderful new grant program! Open to individual and organizational members of H.S.A. chapters to support the advancement of history in Alberta.  Joint projects between H.S.A. chapters, members and other groups or institutions are particularly welcomed!

The application deadline for this oppertunity is March 31st, 2023 and more details can be found at https://www.albertahistory.org/grants/

And lastly, the opportunity to become a member with us is always open! Not only do EDHS members get access to our seasonal newsletter, access to oppertunities like the H.S.A. grants, and information about all our free events, but they can also sign up to recieve the quarterly Alberta History journal!
