On Friday June 14th and Saturday June 15th directors and members of EDHS worked a casino at West Edmonton Mall. Working this casino allows the Society to secure gaming revenue through AGLC. This money is then put towards eligible expenses.
Casino revenues make up a very significant part of our funding, and we couldn’t do it without the help of our directors and members.
A huge thank you goes out to Stephen Yakimets, who served as Casino Coordinator. Thank you as well to the many volunteers who gave up their time to help out. The hours were long, and some very late at night, but they did it! Through their hard work, these volunteers have helped ensure that EDHS continues to promote and preserve the history of Edmonton and area.
