We’re moving!

After nearly two decades operating out of Queen Alexandra School, the Edmonton and District Historical Society is moving our office.

Our new location will be in the historic Northern Alberta Pioneers & Descendants Association Old Timers Cabin at 9430 – 99 Street.

The new location offers better access, more parking, and a beautiful new venue for our speakers series.

The Old Timers Cabin was built by a 76 year old craftsman named Hobart Dowler for the Northern Alberta Pioneers & Descendants Association as an homage to Alberta’s history. The Cabin, a pioneer icon, opened in 1959, and is a municipal historic resource, designated in 2011 for or its association with Northern Alberta Pioneers & Descendants Association , its builder Hobart Dowler, and as a good example of log construction.
